The purpose of this document is to guide you create a strong character and get used to the play style. It is written assuming you have played the game before or similar MMORPG style games prior. All the information you need is on the website, particularly the "INFO" and "Guide 1-100" sections.
Available characters are listed above, monk and beast are disabled here. After creating a character and entering the game, you will spawn in Dragon Castle. Visit Dynasty Event Manager near the spawn spot and get the "Beginner Buff", it will help you level up faster and gain more experience.
After that, go to the outskirts of Dragon Castle and find Castle Giant Boar; set your AID there and let the character grind for a few minutes until you get enough gold to buy skill books and potions. After that is completed, level normally in the maps that fit your stats best; progression is quite fast since there are events held weekly by players. Usual leveling route is Dragon Castle, Highlands, Venom Swamp, Spirit Spire progressively; it is highly advised to not skip these steps because you may miss important details about the game.
After leveling up a bit and saving some gold, meet Pet Master Ma in Dragon Castle; buy a pet and the newbie pet armors from him, this is important since pets gather mobs around you for faster leveling and also provide direct stat benefits to their owner; pet must be online, moving/attacking and have over 81% hunger for the stats to be applied (all three conditions must be met). At level 50 (5Dan 0Kyu) you can enter Venom Clan Gate, the first map where you make actual gold; start farming there, especially during player sponsored Drop events. You can now also select your class - the Warrior then Champion route is recommended as a starting class since it is the most new user friendly.
At this stage you should already have a few levels under your belt, so you can start working on gold. The best way to actively farm gold is by killing these bosses: Tiger Regiment Master in Bamboo Mountain, Tiger Clan Master in Tranquil Vale, Venom Clan Leader in Silent Valley, General Tussan in Crimson Sky and Hohanma in Crystal Summit. These bosses drop gold bar chests, and you can make up to 50 billion gold per hour by hunting them actively on all servers, which if done correctly over 1-2 weeks can drastically increase your game experience.
Now that you've saved some gold, it should be a good time to buy some gear; your best friend is the "INFO" section of the website, it contains all the fusion, crafting, smelting, production, drop, map and shop information. HT sets are available for gold in Linen Shop, Dragon Castle; craft a Legendary HT set (samurai, imperial, etc). After that's done, go visit Dragon Slayer Han in Central Marketplace and start working on your second accessory set. Don't try to get Rabbit sets or Black Dragon sets from the get go - they are very limited and sought after since they can only be obtained via events or adventurers.
Now it's time to gain some Honor. The best way for a new player is Divine Tower, a map where the boss spawns every 3 minutes and each kill gives 35 honor; done correctly, you can have 20,000 honor points and the Adept title in less than two days. Visit Dynasty Merchant in Dragon Castle and buy a Divine Tower Ticket for 10 billion gold, then talk to Lord Sagun and enter - set up AID and you're done. This can be done overnight or while away from your character.
By now you should have a few friends here and there; start looking for a guild since Guild Temples provide very good experience, drop and other stat boosts. If you have a Taoist class friend, ask them to buff you - it greatly helps in PvE and boss hunting.
Time to focus on gear. You may have inspected players and seen Crimson Moon, Artifacts, Twelve Demons, Black Dragon accessories, Handan - and want them too. This is where most players commit a fatal mistake: instead of walking the path step by step, they try to skip many steps and feel stuck. Forget about the super nice items for now and focus on your character.
Attend weekly invasions in Central Island, join the Daily Lottery (see Events section of the website) - you can get lucky and sell the items obtained for a profit. Don't hoard the items, they won't help you at the beginning. Sell, sell, sell - you can obtain more later, during events or just by simply playing.
